The NFL announced today that Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray is the NFC offensive player of October! He was also the player of the month for September. He had 520 rushing yards in October and 534 rushing yards in September. With 1,054 yards so far this season, Murray is leading the NFL and is on pace to break Eric Dickerson’s single-season record of 2,105 rushing yards. The only two other running backs to win back-to-back NFC offensive player of the month awards were Barry Sanders in 1997 and Emmitt Smith in 1992.
