Despite the fact that Eagles' fans assumed Sam Bradford would be their starting quarterback come the start of the 2016 season, there is a quarterback competition occurring at the team's OTAs. Apparently, Bradford has now established a lead as the team's potential starter.
Coach Doug Pederson told reporters on Friday that Bradford currently has established a lead over Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz.
“I think so,” Pederson said, via Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com. “I think he’s done an outstanding job. When you’re spreading reps equally with three guys, that’s what you want to see, and I think he’s really done a nice job of taking that next step to be the leader of this football team and be the starter. He’s done a good job.”
Although Bradford is n the process of winning the job, the Eagles do not seem to be all in on Bradford. They continue to split reps with their other two QB's, which will make it more difficult for Bradford to win the starting position.
He is doing his job thus far, and is poised to be the starter. At least for the moment.
