Both Jordan Hicks and Jordan Matthews will be limited when training camp starts for the Eagles next week as they are both rehabbing injuries.
Hicks broke his hand on his honeymoon (yikes) and Matthews is still dealing with knee tendinitis from this offseason.
Both are important pieces to the Eagles 2017 season so they hope to get them back as soon as possible. The team upgraded their receiving corps but Jordan Matthews will still have a role as their #3 receiver behind newcomers Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffery. He finished last season with a Pro Football Focus grade of -5.0. That's not very good but it was still miles ahead of other starters Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham.
Hicks, on the other hand, had a great 2016 season. A monster in pass coverage, he finished with a PFF grade of +12.9. He'll be counted on a lot. With the talent the Eagles have at rushing the passer, he'll be counted on a lot to break up pass plays but he does have to get a little better in run defense to become a more well rounded linebacker
