Ben Roethlisberger is unsure about his future in the NFL.
Only days after the pittsburgh Steelers' loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, the quarterback told 93.7 The Fan that he will evaluate his future during the offseason.
"I don’t know. It’s one of those things," Roethlisberger said about whether or not he will return for the 2017 season. "I was talking to my wife last night and my agent. I'm going to take this offseason to evaluate and to consider all options... my health. Take some time to wait to see if there is going to be another season. I think it’s a smart thing to do every year.
"I'm going to take some time and evaluate with my family and do a lot of praying to make sure this is the right thing for me and my family."
Despite the Steelers falling short of their ultimate goal of a seventh world championship, Big Ben believes this season was a memorable one.
“What a heck of a run, wasn’t it? After being 4-5 and (having) a lot of doubters, disbelief, the playoffs and the division title looked really bleak," Roethlisberger said. "I had a blast playing, and I hope the fans had fun watching. What a blessing this season was. We’ll take this as a learning experience and see what next year holds."
