Big Ben Roethlisberger finally announced his retirement last season after 18 seasons in the NFL. The biggest question on everyone's lips right now is: who will be the next quarterback?

During the preseason, Kenny Pickett showed off his skills in game 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. Mason Rudolph, who is entering his 4th season with Pittsburgh, will also be part of the discussion. Of course, he's also been involved in trade talks.

As reported by FOX Sports, the former Steelers Super Bowl winner and future Hall of Famer has given his opinion on Pittsburgh's potential starter for Week 1. According to him, Mitchell Trubisky will be the chosen one.

The former Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills's QB has just been named to the captain's team. Through five seasons in the NFL, the 28-year-old QB has completed 1,016 passes for a total of 10,652 yards recorded which resulted in 64 touchdowns.

It will, however, be interesting to see how Kenny Pickett develops as the season progresses. The future of the Steelers doesn't seem to be in Trubisky's hands. Maybe he will be on the field sooner than we think.

The Steelers first game will be this Sunday at 1PM on CBS against the Cincinnati Bengals.
