Some things are much more important than the game of football, even to a player as dedicated as Ben Roethlisberger.
The Steelers' star quarterback was a notable absence for the start of the team's OTAs this week, and such an obvious omission did not go unnoticed. However, there was a good reason for Big Ben missing team activities, and that reason was the fact that there was a little Ben on the way.
As it turns out, Roethlisberger's wife gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday, the Roethlisberger's second son and third child.
As if this fantastic news wasn't enough, Roethlisberger wasn't the only Steelers' quarterback to welcome a bundle of joy into the world this week. Backup Landry Jones welcomed a child on Wednesday and managed to make it back for OTAs today.
What a great day to be a Steelers' QB, and a father.
Congratulations from Steeler Nation.
