Bengals CB Eli Apple getting trolled from everywhere - even a restaurant
He's getting put through the ringer right now.
Cincinnati Bengals CB Eli Apple is one of the NFL's most notorious trash talkers - but now he's getting a taste of his own medicine.
Following his disastrous performance for the Bengals on Sunday in Super Bowl LVI against the Los Angeles Rams, several NFL players took to social media to mock Apple, who committed the fatal penalty by pulling Cooper Kupp's jersey and setting up an automatic 1st down for the Rams on the 1-yard line that led to the game winning touchdown.
“@EliApple Wish you was a better corner bro then the game winning touchdown wouldn’t been scored on you,” Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman tweeted.
Meanwhile, Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill tweeted “Got heee,” along with several laughing-crying face emojis late in the game. Apple had previously trolled the both of them on Twitter following Cincinnati's AFC Championship victory over Kansas City two weeks prior, telling them to hit up him for Super Bowl tickets.
Even a restaurant is getting in on the fun. Jimmy’s Famous Seafood in Maryland added a new menu item in two pieces of burnt toast, apple slices and some fries.
