Well, there it is!

It seems as though professional athletes have more power than ever these days on where they ultimately play. We've seen plenty of examples of this situation in recent years, especially in the NBA.

Right now, a certain top member of the Buffalo Bills is voicing where he'd like to be playing next season, and he's got an interesting rationale behind it. While he's not listed any specific team, he has one very specific criteria for the state in which the team plays - stop taxing half of his income!

"A lot of people ask me, ‘Oh, if it wasn’t Buffalo, where would you go?’ I kind of ponder the question every once in a while," Poyer said Saturday on his podcast, The Jordan Poyer Show. "I would love to go to a state that doesn’t take half my money. It’s crazy to me how taxes work. Some people will say, ‘You’re already making X amount of money.’ Taxes play a big part in all of our lives."

Poyer pulled in $5.6 million in salary in 2022, and as you may know, the state of New York carries an extremely heavy tax rate.

“If it wasn’t Buffalo, it’d be nice to see the sun,” Poyer added while also saying he plans on playing in 2023.
