Starting safety TJ Ward won't even travel to San Francisco this week when the Broncos face off against the Niners in their second preseason game.
Ward is one of the best safeties in the league so getting his hamstring right is a big deal for the team. The safety came over in free agency from the Browns in 2014. He has been to 3 Pro Bowls and been a 2nd Team All-Pro one time. He, of course, was on the Super Bowl Champion Broncos team. In the 2010 draft, he was a 2nd round pick by the Browns out of Oregon. He has 8 interceptions in his career.
