Oher was never really the player everyone thought he could be when the Baltimore Ravens drafted him out of Ole Miss in the 2009 first round. He's still a feel good story but after a promising rookie season he has not lived up to the hype and now, just before training camp, he'll have to look for his 3rd NFL team.
A few years ago he talked about the effect that the movie "The Blind Side" a biopic about his early life had on him,
"This stuff, calling me a bust, people saying if I can play or not ... that has nothing to do with football. It's something else off the field. That's why I don't like that movie.''
"That's taken away from my football,'' Oher said. "That's why people criticize me. That's why people look at me every single play.''
He's a veteran, so he'll find a team but who knows if he'll ever regain his rookie season form.
