It appears Josh Norman has found a new team.
According to Rand Getlin, the former Carolina Panthers' All-Pro cornerback will sign with the Washington Redskins. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the deal is a 5-year contract worth $75 million dollars.
The Carolina Panthers shocked the football world on Tuesday by rescinding the franchise tag they had placed on cornerback Josh Norman, making him a free agent immediately. The 28-year-old was slated to earn $13.9 million for the 2016 season under the tag. Norman was named a first-team All-Pro in 2015, recording 56 tackles, four interceptions (two returned for TD's), and three forced fumbles. It is reported that Norman was seeking a long-term deal worth $16 million dollars a year.
This addition immediately improves the Redskins' secondary.
