The Dallas Cowboys are demoting starting cornerback Anthony Brown.
Brown won a starting job this summer and fall after Dallas parted ways with veteran corner Nolan Carroll, a free agent pickup from Philadelphia. He played strongly last year but 2017 has been much different, with inconsistency at a premium for Brown.
The 23-year-old picked off New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning in the Cowboys' first game of the season this year. Since then, and especially since star running back Ezekiel Elliott started serving his suspension, it hasn't looked good for the defense as a whole.
