A talented but troubled Cowboys' player has once again let the team down.

Sources told Ian Rapoport and Mike Garofolo of NFL Network that Dallas Cowboys' defensive end Randy Gregory has failed yet another drug test and will now face a year long suspension from the NFL.

This is Gregory's third failed drug test since February.

The 2015 second-round pick was eligible to return Dec. 19 and can still appeal his pending suspension. Gregory served a four-game suspension to start the season for his first substance abuse violation and is currently serving a 10-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy for a second time.

It is worth noting that the league released a statement saying they "have not been notified of any new violations."

The Nebraska product appeared in 12 games during his rookie season, recording 11 tackles over that span.

A suspension of this magnitude puts Gregory's future with the Cowboys very much in doubt. Cowboys' COO Stephen Jones made it clear months ago that the second-year edge rusher was on thin ice.

"This is a disappointment," Jones said after Gregory was suspended four games in February. "We have been clear with Randy about what his responsibilities are and what is expected of him. This is something that he is going to have to work through and correct."

This is a huge disappointment for the Cowboys, who could definitely use Gregory's skillset moving forward.
