Shane Ray openly said he wanted to replace retired DeMarcus Ware as the Denver Broncos number one linebacker. Well, it looks like this is going to have to wait. The 24-year-old LB suffered a torn ligament in his wrist yesterday, and will be out six to eight weeks, according to NFL.com.
Broncos' head coach Vance Joseph confirmed Ray will be undergoing surgery as soon as tomorrow. Even though he "practiced with a brace on his wrist on Friday, but it was determined afterward that surgery would be necessary."
