In a shocking announcement on social media, former Denver Broncos' and Dallas Cowboys' outside linebackerDeMarcus Ware has announced his he is officially stepping away from the NFL, this after an incredible career.
Ware spent the majority of his career as a Dallas Cowboy but found his ultimate success after signing with the Denver Broncos in March of 2014, eventually going on to win a Superbowl Championship at Superbowl 50 with the Broncos.
The news comes as a major surprise as many were hoping Ware would sign a new deal, with fan bases all across the NFL calling for their teams to pick up the veteran linebacker.
Despite the lack of team success early on in his career, Ware achieved tremendous success as an individual and was widely regarded as one of the most feared defenders in the NFL.
As well as the Superbowl ring he claimed with the Broncos, Ware was a 9-time Pro Bowl selection, a 4-time first team All-Pro, twice led the NFL in sacks, and was named NFC defensive player of the year in 2008.
While we are sad to see him go, we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.
