Former NFL receiver Michael Jackson was killed in a motorcycle crash in Tangipahoa, Louisiana. He was 48 years old.
According to TMZ Sports, Jackson "was driving a '13 Kawasaki on US 51 around 1 AM at "a high rate of speed" when a 20-year-old woman backed out of a parking spot and into both lanes of the highway." The impact was so violent that it also killed the young woman.
Officials are still investigating the crash.
Jackson played eight seasons in the NFL in the 1990s with the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens. He led the league in touchdown catches with 14 during the Raven's first season.
