After a month of speculation regarding James Harrison's future, he has finally made his decision whether to continue his career, or step away from the game forever.
On Tuesday Harrison finally announced he will return to the Steelers for a 13th NFL campaign.
"He's under contract for one more year," agent Bill Parise told ESPN. "We plan to honor that."
Harrison, 37, will return for his 12th season with the Steelers after spending the 2013 season with the Bengals. After retiring briefly, Harrison re-joined the Steelers in 2014, and helped mentor the Steelers' linebacking corps in 2015.
Harrison remained productive recording 5.0 sacks during the 2015 regular season and another two sacks in the post season. With his return, Harrison will most likely pass Jason Gildon as the Steelers' all-time leading sack leader, as he currently has 74.5 sacks as a Steeler to Gildon's 77.
This will surely add motivation for the stairway to seven, as every Steelers' fan would like to see Harrison finish his career on top of the football world.
