While it was surely an expected announcement, it nonetheless comes as good news for the New England Patriots and their fan base.
According to a report from the NFL Network's football insider Ian Rapoport, the Patriots, and their star quarterback Tom Brady, have agreed to a two year contract extension that will keep Brady with the organization through the 2019 season.
The Patriots have not disclosed the financial details of the extension, however according to Rapoport, Brady's two year extension is worth $41 million, with $28 million to sign. Brady will earn $14 million in both 2018 as well as 2019, both years also include a $1 million roster bonus.
