Troubling news out of the NFL...

The Jupiter, Fla. police chief has confirmed that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has been charged as part of a prostitution ring sting.

Kraft has been charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution at a Florida-based spa tied to an international human trafficking ring roughly "a month ago.", Mary Helen Moore of TCPalm.com reports.

Via WPTV, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said earlier this week about 100 men would be arrested.

“The tentacles of this go from here to New York to China, in Florida from here to Orange County,” Snyder said. “I think it’s very safe to say without any hyperbole that this is the tip of the iceberg.”

The investigation took roughly 8 months and officials say they've identified more than 100 men suspected of being "Johns, including Kraft.

Kraft bought the Patriots in January 1994 -- and has led the team to 6 Super Bowl championships and 10 AFC championships. The team has appeared in nine Super Bowls under his ownership.

Kraft was married to Myra Kraft from 1963 to her death in 2011. The couple have four sons.
