Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane was arrested early Sunday morning outside of Seattle on a charge of driving under the influence, court records show. However, Lane has taken the incident to Twitter in hopes of showing the public that he wasn't actually doing anything wrong.
Lane was booked into jail at 5:30 a.m. local time and was released on his own recognizance about four hours later, according to King County court records. He was heading eastbound on Interstate 90 on or near Mercer Island when he was pulled over, according to a jail spokesperson.
More information about Lane's arrest, such as his blood alcohol content, was not immediately available. The Seahawks have not commented on the arrest, but Lane tweeted Monday that his blood alcohol content was 0.03, which is below the legal limit.
