The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran running back Stevan Ridley in the wake of rookie James Connor's season-ending knee surgery.
Ridley won a Super Bowl while a member of the New England Patriots in 2015. He took to Twitter shortly after his signing was announced.
Per ESPN, Ridley signed with the Minnesota Vikings this season after Dalvin Cook's season-ending injury but never appeared in a game before he was released.
"Unfortunate for him," Tomlin said of Conner, according to the team's website. "Liked the trajectory of where he is going and his career was going in 2017. He will get well and continue on with his career."
