Roster changes are extremely frequent at this time of the year. The Pittsburgh Steelers are no exception: they announced earlier today that they decided to cut ties with tight end Ladarius Green, only a year after they signed him to a four-year, $20 million contract.
The news of his release was published on the Steelers' official website and according to Bleacher Report, it came "with the designation failed physical."
NFL insider Ian Rapoport gave more details about Green and his contract:
Green was drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL draft. He only played six games with Pittsburgh last season, in which he recorded 18 receptions for 304 yards and one touchdown.
Pittsburgh also announced the signature of the 23-year-old RB Terrell Watson, who used to play with the Philadelphia Eagles.
