The summer hasn't been too kind with the New England Patriots. After having released offensive lineman Chase Farris last week, the debacle continued with the unexpected retirement announcement by wide receiver Andrew Hawks.
With training camp just around the corner, the Patriots' 90-man off-season roster still had two open spots.
As of today, Reign Sports has confirmed that Caleb Kidder, rookie defensive end, has signed with Belichick's team.
Kidder went undrafted during the 2017 NFL draft, despite having had five productive years in collegiate football with the University of Montana. He had managed to sign a free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings before being released last week.
Although Caleb's chances of making the team are slim-to-none, his versatility as player may just be enough to land him a spot within the practice squad.
