We have a trade to announce in the National Football League.
According to a breaking news report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL network, the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles have come to terms on a trade that will see three pieces on the move.
Going to the Seahawks will be both offensive lineman Matt Tobin as well as a 2018 seventh round draft selection and in exchange the Seahawks will be sending a 2018 fifth round selection back the other way to the Eagles.
Rapoport reports that the Seahawks were incredibly active today as the called rival teams in the hopes of finding a replacement for tackle George Fant who suffered a major injury in the preseason. This appears to be the best deal thew Seahawks could put together on short notice.
Tobin is a versatile offensive lineman. but one who is coming off a serious knee injury, and it will be interesting to see where exactly he slots into the Seahawks lineup.
