The Steelers have locked up Antonio Brown.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Steelers have agreed to terms with their star wide receiver on a new 4-year, $68M contract extension. The deal is for 17 million dollars per year over four years, and $18.5 million over the next three years.
The deal makes Brown the highest paid wideout in the NFL, exceeding an annual average of the $15 million of Cincinnati Bengals wideout A.J. Green.
Brown has played at a record breaking pace for the past four seasons, a stretch so dominant that the 106 receptions for 1,284 yards and 12 touchdowns he posted in 2016 felt like something of a down year.
The 28-year-old now has 632 catches, 8,377 yards, and 50 touchdowns since landing with the Steelers as a sixth-round pick back in 2010.
Business is definitely BOOMING!
