Malik McDowell was a huge pickup for the Seattle Seahawks in the 2nd round of this past offseason's NFL draft. McDowell possesses 1st round talent but ultimately fell to Seattle in the 2nd round. Unfortunately due to injuries suffered in a recent ATV accident, he will miss the entire 2017 season.
Really sad news for the big guy. McDowell played his college football at Michigan State University and was twice second team all-conference. On May 25, 2017, the Seahawks signed McDowell to a four-year, $6.95 million contract with $4.40 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $3.19 million.
Will be interesting to see who the Seahawks sign as a replacement.
