Darian Stewart may find himself lighter in the wallet for the second time in two weeks.
The Denver Broncos safety received a costly 15-yard penalty late in Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts after launching himself and his forearm into the head of a sliding Andrew Luck. Fortunately for Luck, he appeared fine after the scary collision, while giving the official a thumbs-up for throwing the penalty flag.
Stewart was fined $18,231 by the NFL just last week, for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Carolina Panthers' quarterback Cam Newton.
Stewart's hit is the exact type of play the league is attempting to eliminate amid a continued focus on player safety.
