It didn't even take 50 seconds of game clock before the Denver Broncos defence struck gold for the first time in 2017.
Cornerback Chris Harris Jr., recently ranked the highest-rated cornerback in the Madden video game (along with teammate Aquib Talib), snatched a Mike Glennon pass and sprinted 50 yards for paydirt Thursday night. The No Fly Zone has officially taken court, folks.
The Broncos are currently playing the Chicago Bears in their first preseason game, leading 10-0 late in the first quarter.
Last season, Denver finished fourth in the entire NFL in team defense, allowing just 316.1 yards per game. San Francisco, by comparison, allowed over 400 yards per game.
If this is any indication of how dominant Denver's D will be again, we might be looking at another NFL-leading program.
