The Denver Broncos got a bit of a scare over the week-end when one of their young wide receivers went down with an injury.
While the injury was significant enough that the Broncos scheduled an MRI for Cody Latimer on Sunday, it doesn't sound the man himself is at all concerned about the severity of his injury, and in fact is predicting he will be on the field for the regular season
I’m good. Everything is good,” Latimer said as per the Denver Post. “I’ll be there Week 1.”
It's not just the overconfidence of use, despite the fact that Latimer had yet to undergo the MRI, head coach Gary Kubiak seemed to echo the enthusiam of his young receiver.
“We do not think it’s serious,” coach Gary Kubiak said.
It goes without saying this is terrific news for a Broncos offense that will be rolling out a lot of new things this season.
