Denver Broncos' tight end AJ Derby did not participate in the first day of the team's mandatory minicamp. According to head coach Vance Joseph, he is battling a slight hamstring injury, which does not appear to be serious:
"If it were a game week, he probably could go. We’re being smart there. Let’s get him through this week and healthy so he can go home and train. He can come back in the fall to compete,” Joseph added.
Derby is not the only one watching from the sidelines today. Kalif Raymond, Jake Butt and Matt Paradis are also injured, just like Shaquil Barrett, who still suffers from a hip injury.
