Which under the radar Cowboys draft pick has potential to make an impact in 2017?
We know the Cowboys upgraded their cornerback position in the draft with Colorado's Chidobe Awuzie and Michigan's Jourdan Lewis but they also took safety Xavier Woods from Louisiana Tech in the 6th round. He's a player to watch because of his versatility.
The Cowboys started him at safety during rookie camp and OTA's and he's definitely someone to look out for even on special teams.
Will Woods break out and immediately start over Barry Church or Orlando Scandrick? Highly doubtful, but depth is always important.
Pro Football Focus graded Woods' last year at Louisiana Tech at +14.7, a lone bright spot on a pretty bad Bulldogs team.
Safety's usually make good special teamers so we can see him making the team there and then learning how to play defense in the NFL.
