The Dallas Cowboys are preparing for life without quarterback Dak Prescott, who suffered a hand injury during last week's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; he's since gone under the knife and will be absent for the next several weeks.

The Cowboys have since elected not to acquire outside help at the quarterback position, and will instead be rolling with backup Cooper Rush. And to that end, they've announced a series of roster moves ahead of this afternoon's Week 2 matchup at home against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rush has officially been added to the active roster and will start today's game. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have promoted Will Grier from the practice squad.

The Dallas backup has amassed 488 yards and three touchdowns in his 11 career NFL appearances. He and the Cowboys will take on the Bengals this afternoon at AT&T Stadium, with a 4:25 PM EST kickoff.
