While Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott has shown promise on the field, there are some major red flags coming up regarding his off the field issues.
According to comments made by ESPN's Ed Werder reported via Pro Football Talk reported via Pro Football Talk, the Cowboys are now seriously concerned about “a pattern of disturbing behavior” coming from the Elliott including an open investigation in which Elliott is a suspect in a domestic violence case.
The National Football League cracks down very hard on domestic abusers, and the Cowboys know this all too well considering the massive suspension to Greg Hardy that was a large part in that being a failed experiment. Losing Elliott for multiple games would obviously be a devastating blow to the organization.
To make matters worse, Elliott was spotted in a marijuana shop In Seattle, and while that is now illegal or even immoral, word is the Cowboys weren't thrilled with that either given the circumstances.
