Dallas Cowboys starting middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens sustained at knee injury during the preseason game against the Oakland Raiders Saturday night in Arlington.

Hitchens went down clutching his knee late in the first half, all the details can be found here.

The 25-year-old is entering his fourth season with the Cowboys. Dallas drafted in the fourth round, 119th overall, in the 2014. He has played 48 NFL games, starting 36 of them. Hitchens has been impressive through training camp and the preseason, and many consider him to be a key piece to the Cowboys defense.

Hitchens is versatile asset who can play all three linebacker spots, if he's sidelined long term it could be difficult for the Cowboys to replace him.

The Cowboys won their third preseason game over the Raiders 24-20.
