We reported earlier that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won an ESPY award for "Best NFL Player", and beat out Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot. Well, we have got good news for you, Cowboys fans. Rookie QB Dak Prescott has been named "Breakthrough Athlete of the Year" at the ESPYs, a well-deserved recognition for the 23-year-old.

"Thank you! To take this home, it's such an honor and it's amazing. I've gotta thank my teammates, Orlando Scandrick, Jason Witten and all those great vet's that allowed me to come in as a rookie and just kind of take over the team and just propelled me to do so. I wanna thank them for that. My coaches, who put me in the right position, who gave me the right plays and allowed everything to happen."

Prescott bested New York Yankees' outfielder Aaron Judge and NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo, among others.

Prescott went from fourth-round pick to star quarterback in just a few months. He completed 311 out of 459 passes for 3,667 yards, 23 touchdowns, nine fumbles and only four interceptions last season. He also tied Ben Roethlisberger's 2004 rookie record of winning 13 games as a starter.
