At the end of the Cowboys preseason game with the Rams, tight end Connor Hamlett went down with a injury that resulted in a broken fibula. Unfortunately, that means that he will be waived by the team. Hamlett went undrafted in 2015 out of Oregon State and had 1 catch for a 17 yard touchdown in his short NFL career so far.
His replacement will be M.J. McFarland who was waived by the Cowboys in June but will get his chance to make the squad again. McFarland played his college ball at the University of Texas.
