Cowboys reveal how much longer they want Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is certainly feeling the heat, considering the amount of money that he's making versus how many postseason victories that he's lead his team to. As you may remember, he struggled all season with turnovers, and also threw two costly interceptions in last month's postseason division loss to the San Fransisco 49ers, ironically the same team who ended their season last year, too.
And while some have taken Dallas' apparent desire to select a quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft later this year as a message to Prescott, apparently the team has zero plans to move on from him. In fact, according to a recently released report, the Cowboys would like to keep him in Big D for the next decade. Yes, the next 10 years.
Take a look at the recent comments made by team CEO Stephen Jones, the son of team owner and general manager Jerry Jones:
"Dak is going to be our guy for, hopefully the next 10 years," the younger Jones said. "You say that's a long time because he's already played seven. But I think Dak will play that long because he takes care of himself, and he's driven to be great. We fully expect him to be here for 10 years."
"It takes two parties to talk. Obviously, Dak is the key guy on this football team – first and foremost. No one respects him more than Jerry and myself," he continued when discussing a potential contract extension.
The elder Jones echoed his son's sentiments:
"I’m very strong on Dak. We have, in my mind, a unique person, a unique football player, a unique quarterback," he said. "The fact that we’re doing this – Mike’s calling the plays, and this has everything to do with the positives around Dak – is building around Dak."
Cowboys fans, would you like to see Prescott as the team quarterback for the next decade?
