The Dallas Cowboys have signed former Texas A&M running back Trey Williams to their practise roster in the wake of star running back Ezekiel Elliott's suspension.
The 24-year-old journeyman spent time with the Dallas Cowboys in 2015 after being signed away from the Washington Redskins' practice squad. At the time, the move was to replace a waived, who had significant off-the-field issues.
Williams was never on the active 46-man game roster, and was eventually waived to make room for quarterback.
He's since spent time with the Dolphins, Colts and Steelers before heading north to the CFL to play for the Toronto Argonauts. At Texas A&M he rushed for 1,343 yards and 18 touchdowns in 36 games, adding 330 yards in the air and a receiving TD.
