Can you imagine if Dallas Cowboys mega-star Dak Prescott could have instead found himself a Denver Bronco following the 2016 NFL Draft?

The Broncos, of course, ended up taking Memphis gunslinger Paxton Lynch with the 26th overall pick. Dallas slyly snatched Prescott all the way in the fourth round, 135th overall.

But prior to the draft, Broncos GM John Lynch scheduled an interview with Prescott. Unfortunately it didn't go well:

In the interview, Prescott explains how he missed his flight to Denver to meet with Broncos brass.

"When I got on that flight I knew that was probably over with going there. Everything happens for a reason."

Prescott was named both the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year last season, also earning Pro Bowl honors.

Lynch remained on the sidelines in Denver all season long.
