The Dallas Cowboys are on the verge of reporting for training camp later this month, and it will be another season under center for quarterback Dak Prescott as the franchise quarterback.
However, he'll have a new offensive coordinator with which to work this year, as Kellen Moore was replaced by Brian Schottenheimer; despite this, it will be head coach Mike McCarthy who is calling the offensive plays in 2023.
Known as the "Texas Coast" offense, Prescott has welcomed the change.
“He’s done a great job in the spring and the offseason of getting an idea, but we’ve got to make sure we really button it in and define it once we finish with camp,” Prescott said of McCarthy.
As far as how much he plans on playing in the preseason, he'll be leaving that up to the coaching staff.
“I’m always down for playing, always down for getting the reps,” Prescott said.
“I’m going off their schedule. If I get action in the preseason, I’ll be all for it and if I don’t, I’ll make sure I’m preparing and getting those reps in practice.”
