Dak Prescott shares critical health update
The Cowboys quarterback was recently shaken up and seen with a walking boot.
The Dallas Cowboys are getting set to open up Training Camp later this month, and while contracts still have yet to be sorted out for the likes of Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb, fans held their collective breath as it was reported earlier in the month that Prescott required the use of a walking boot after being injured during a training session.
However, the good news is that Prescott himself is downplaying any injury issue and is assuring the fans that he's 100% healthy and calling out those who are attempting to make things seem worse than they actually are.
"It's the same ankle that I snapped and had a nasty surgery on four years ago," Prescott said via The Athletic's Jon Machota. "A couple of hard days of training, you get a little sore and then you go on a fishing trip and you want to protect it and make sure things don't get worse. Literally, it's absolutely nothing. People are reaching, trying to make things that they aren't."
Last season, Prescott amassed the second best numbers of his career with 4,516 yards and 36 touchdowns, but was unable to lead the Cowboys on a lengthy postseason run. Naturally, there is going to be added pressure on the franchise to return to the promised land of championship glory for the first time since their dynasty days of the mid 90s.
The Cowboys are set to open Training Camp on July 25, with their first exhibition action taking place on August 11 against the Los Angeles Rams.
