Dolphins' Alonso says Joe Flacco slid 'too late' before hit

Miami Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso said after the game Thursday night that he hit Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco because the Ravens QB slid too late. 

"It was bang bang. It got to a point where I thought maybe if he slid a second sooner... I was anticipating him to slide and I was gonna not hit him, but I think it was like...a second late, which is why I hit him."

Flacco has been diagnosed with a concussion.

"Its a bang bang play, I hope he's alright, I truly do," added Alonso. 

The Ravens won the game 40-0. After the game, a member of the Dolphins could be heard saying "I hate this [bleeping] place."
