Ex-Steeler blasts hire of Arthur Smith as OC
This move isn't going over well with everyone.

By now, you've certainly heard the news that the Pittsburgh Steelers have found former offensive coordinator Matt Canada's full-time replacement. Former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith is now on his way to the Steel City, having been hired as offensive coordinator.
But the move hasn't gone over well with everyone. And the latest to speak out is former Steelers players Trai Essex, who believes that the hiring of Smith is actually an indictment on the limitations of quarterback Kenny Pickett.
He wrote on social media:
"This hire just tells me they see Kenny’s limitations and want to emphasize the run game and take as much as they can off the QBs plate. Hoping to recreate what was in Tennessee from a few years ago. The problem with that is, despite a few playoff wins, there was a hard ceiling with those teams in today’s NFL."
