Former Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos defensive end Demarcus Ware is joining the dark side. The media, that is.

Per Sporting News, the recently retired pass rusher will make his debut as a television game analyst in the Cowboys' preseason opener against the Rams.

The Auburn, Alabama native is a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl winner. He was named All-Pro four times and reached the Pro Bowl nine times.

Ware spent nine of his 12 NFL seasons with the Cowboys and retired in March after three seasons with the Broncos. He signed a one-day contract with the Cowboys on April 24 to officially retire as a member of the team that drafted him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
