Former Cowboys star Golden Richards dies at 73
The former Cowboys legend has passed away.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Golden Richards, who was a part of their Super Bowl XII winning team, has died at the age of 73 at his home in Utah due to congestive heart failure.
The news was confirmed by his nephew Lance Richards:
“My uncle Golden passed away peacefully this morning,” Richards’ nephew Lance Richards posted on Facebook. “I will forever remember going hunting and talking Dallas Cowboy football. He was a kind and sweet soul and I’m so happy he’s not suffering anymore."
Drafted by Dallas in the 2nd round of the 1973 NFL Draft, Richards had played collegiate football at Hawaii and BYU.
