The football world is mourning the loss of one of the greatest pressure players of all time today.
According to MetroNews.com, former Dolphins and Raiders cornerback Fulton Walker has passed away. Walker was working o his farm in West Virginia when he into cardiac arrest. He was 58 years old.
Although he played corner, he will be best remembered for his performance during Super Bowl XVII, where he set a record that will likely never be broken. Walker returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown, which marked the first kickoff return touchdown ever in a Super Bowl. His 190 kickoff return yards in that game and 93 kickoff return yards in Super Bowl XIX gave him a career total of 283, which is still the NFL’s all-time record for career kickoff return yards in the Super Bowl.
Walker finished his career with 145 punts returns for 1,437 yards and 167 kickoff returns for 3,779 yards and a touchdown.
