Former Packers linebacker Antonio Morrison has been charged with a felony and unfortunately it sounds like there may be some underlying problems here.

According to a report from Crystal Hill of the Indianapolis Star, Morrison is facing at least one felony charge stemming from a series of disturbances that have taken place in Carmel, Indiana where Morrison currently lives. The disburstances all have one factor in common and that appears to be Morrison himself, although this time the neighbor involved felt that there was enough of a threat that the police needed to become involved. The neighbor initially called the police regarding an incident involving Morrison only to have the former NFL linebacker tell him "that he was going to kill" him the very next day. That neighbor also claims that Morrison made lewd comments regarding his wife, but of course it has to be noted here that this is only one man's side of the story at this time, although there are more neighbors involved as well.

Another neighbor claims that Morrison had previously threatened him as well, although in this case that neighbor opted not to press charges. He did however tell officers that the former football player had become "increasingly erratic and aggressive," which is of course a very bad sign. We have all witnessed this type of behavior from former players that have suffered serious head trauma over prolonged football careers, and I hope that this is not the cause of Morrison's current issues or the cause of his seemingly deteriorating behavior.

There are also reports from the Marion County Sheriff's office suggesting that Morrison committed battery on a security officer at Community Hospital North, although at this time it is unclear if the incident in Carmel is related to this other incident. As a result Morrison was arrested on Thursday in Indianapolis and currently remains in Marion County Jail on preliminary charges of battery and battery against a public safety official and it is unclear what type of penalties he may be facing as a result of these incidents.

Morrison was acquired by the Packers via a trade with the Indianapolis Colts in 2018 but was released in 2019 as a cost cutting measure and has not played in the NFL since.
