It appears this former Steeler has found his second chance.
Former Steelers' kick returner Dri Archer signed a futures contract on Wednesday with the New York Jets.
The former third-round pick of the Steelers ran an impressive 40-yard dash in 4.26 seconds, which helped him get grafted by Pittsburgh in 2014. However, he was unable to get that speed to translate on an NFL level as of yet. Archer had 10 carries for 40 yards and seven catches for 23 yards as a rookie and didn’t have any offensive touches in eight games before being released in November.
As a kickoff returner for Pittsburgh, posting an average of 22.4 yards per return over his two years in Pittsburgh.
