It looks as though the Tyron Smith era with the Dallas Cowboys is coming to a close.
According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Smith is becoming a free agent and isn't likely to return to the Cowboys next season. He writes on X (formerly known as Twitter):
"End of an era: Cowboys All-Pro and Pro Bowl LT Tyron Smith will be a free agent and is unlikely to return to Dallas, sources say. The blindside protector since 2011, Smith will be highly coveted."
Originally selected 9th overall in 2011 by the Cowboys, he's earned himself eight Pro Bowl nominations. He's ran into injury trouble in recent years, being limited to two games in 2020 along with only four games in 2022.
