The Los Angeles Rams can ill afford to lose reigning Super Bowl winning quarterback Matthew Stafford, which appeared to be the case last week when he was entered into concussion protocol. The good news is that he cleared the protocols this week, and was given the green light to start this afternoon against the New Orleans Saints.
The bad news is that he's once again being entered into concussion protocol. Stafford is currently being evaluated for the dreaded brain injury:
Rams QB Bryce Perkins is now in.
With a pedestrian 3-6 record, it looks as though the Rams won't get a chance to defend last year's championship title. And without Stafford, those already extremely slim chances just took a devastating blow.
